Short answer
On 2 October 2026, Labcorp OnDemand listed a standalone ApoB test at $69, or $51.75 during its October 25% sale. Its Complete Heart Health panel with ApoB was $169. Quest listed ApoB inside its Advanced Heart Health panel at $215 plus a $6 physician fee. All three accept HSA or FSA payment.
The cheapest way to get ApoB
Labcorp OnDemand sells ApoB on its own. The page showed $69 as the regular price and $51.75 under an October sale of 25% off select tests. That is the lowest verified price we found for the single number. Standard cholesterol panels do not include ApoB, so it has to be ordered by name. Sales end, so check the page for today's price.
Bundles with ApoB
Labcorp's Complete Heart Health Test (with ApoB) was $169, with results 1 to 3 days after the lab receives your sample and a 12 to 14 hour fast. Quest does not list ApoB on its own on the pages we read. It appears in the Advanced Heart Health Test Panel at $215 plus a $6.00 physician service fee, alongside lipids, hs-CRP and Lp-PLA2 activity, with results in 5 to 7 business days. Quest and Labcorp both say HSA/FSA is accepted.
Is it worth paying for
ApoB counts the number of cholesterol-carrying particles that can enter artery walls, so it can look different from your LDL number. Our decoded page explains when it adds information and when it is just one more number to worry about. If your doctor can add it to routine blood work, that is often the cheaper route, so ask first.
Related questions
Is ApoB included in a standard cholesterol panel?
No. A standard panel reports total cholesterol, LDL, HDL and triglycerides. ApoB is a separate test, as Labcorp's and Quest's own product pages show.
Can I order an ApoB test without a doctor?
Yes. Labcorp OnDemand and Quest both sell consumer tests with physician review built in. Quest charges a $6.00 physician service fee.
